Great location, style, service, and breakfast (full, hot, unlimited drinks). Hotel is older, definitely needs a refresh. Air conditioning was weak, it struggled to keep the room cool during warm summer days.

3-star review for a 3-star hotel.
As a benchmark, my hotel rate for one night was about $450. Let’s start with the positives. The hotels in an excellent location and has the presence of the Grand Dame it once was. I was greeted in the room with an offering of water and macarons. The staff is friendly enough, but does not go out of their way for hospitality. The rest comes down to the details. There definitely needs to be a de-mildewing of the showers. There are no wash cloths, just hand towels. There is one bottle in the shower that serves as an all purpose shampoo and body wash, conditioner for those of us that forgot ours is not a luxury provided. There are no robes. Which makes sense since they probably didn’t want a bunch of people traipsing around the hotel in robes to go down to the basement for the iron. That’s right, they won’t let you iron in your room. The blow dryer has the equivalent power and effect of someone breathing hot air on you. I am actually writing this review while I wait for the hot breath to dry my hair. Oh I forgot to mention the dark hair in the sink that was there when I arrived. Finally, don’t forget to check out my view of this wall making the room quite dark. In summary a 3-star review for a 3-star hotel. Hope that helps!
