Good but....
The hotel is clean and overall service was OK. Little things were challenging. When checking in, I gave the front desk my credit card and they immediately came back and said it was declined. I told her I am sure there is not a problem and she said I was probably right because she has had other problems with the machine. She ran the card again it was good. We checked our luggage because we arrived early and then we requested it to be brought to the room - it took an hour and three calls. None of these were big issues but at a W would not expect this.

Everyone was super helpful and nice at checkout. They helped us get our boards dried off to get them packed. The Wheels team is definilty 5 stars. The only minor issue we had was at check in when we were given the wrong room number and I had to run up and down the stairs multiple times back to the lobby to find out why our key wasn’t working. Then once we got to our I went to hop in the shower to rinse off real quick and the shower head was pointed and I got blasted with cold water, soaked the bathroom floor and my clothes I had intended to wear were now soaked. I would like to think this wasn’t intentional, but it happened 2 more times (but i checked before I turned the water on) Other then that the hotel was awesome. The hot tub was fun, and bar was great!

The jacuzzi and the pool at the W are public. So you pay $ 1000 a day for your room and want to enjoy the jacuzzi after a long day of skiing and you find out that the entire town of Aspen can you use it until 7 pm and there is no room for you. Literally there were 30 people in the jacuzzi and pool at once from 4-6 pm. Two were staying at the hotel.

There were so many little issues here that I have to assume it is managed poorly - room not clean, fixtures in disrepair, poor attitude of some staff, some view areas not cleared/cleaned. Nice place but all the issues ruined it. If you want a premium hotel there are other much better options for the same premium price in Aspen. Best/friendliest staff were the doormen/drivers - others not so much.

Service was a total joke. Looked like a bunch of kids running the place with ZERO management. Not sure who is letting this happen but you guys are ruining your reputation. How many times did we see people walking out of you restaurant (entire families), waiting fro 45 minutes for a cup of coffee or getting food and getting their drinks at the end of the breakfast. These kids were just running around and we could tell they were frustrated and overwhelmed. In that case you make the buffet the only selection at a lower price and you put coffee and drinks also in the buffet. Why have to order a cup of coffee and create confusion. Not only that you order a cup of coffee with cream and they run over like 30 minutes later with coffee but no cream. Ask for cream then it doesn't come. It was so bad the waiter had to comp our breakfast and after that we just decided going to the coffee shop across the street was a better bet. Room service: mistakes on multiple occasions. its the same things that make a luxury hotel and $13,000 for 5 nights you should expect it. Just a very frustrating experience, when you pay top dollar you expect a relaxing experience, and I can guarantee you these types of reviews will keep on coming in till you guys have ADULTS running this place!
