The hotel was not open for guests so we were unable to stay and had to spend double to book at another hotel in the area. We were extremely unsatisfied with our guaranteed booking that was not useable. I called Hotels.com several times while traveling to an immediate family members hospital bedside which did turn into an important life lost.

The hotel was actually "partially closed" so they moved our reservation to the hotel right next door. The front desk attendant at that hotel seemed very overwhelmed, so not super friendly. While I understand the needed cautions around COVID, the room was stripped of all usual amenities (shampoo, soap, hair dryer, coffee maker). Hotel itself was very run down. Popcorn ceilings in the room- with stains. Caulking missing around bathtub edge, dark patch on ceiling in shower area.

Sent to the hotel next door
Apparently due to COVID-19 non-rewards members were being sent to the hotel next door but nothing notified us of that change until we got to the front desk of the hotel we were booked to stay at. We had completely unloaded our car onto a luggage cart before heading inside only to find we had to unload it and go next door. So not very happy that there was no notification of that change before getting to the hotel. After we went next door, the room and the service was good!

I booked our room about 6 hours ahead of our arrival. I called the hotel directly to make sure we could still check in around 12:30-1 am. The lady at the desk said that would be fine, asked my name, and noted our reservation that it would be late arrival. We arrived at the hotel at about 12:30 am and the lady at the desk said they are only taking Best Western Members and that they’ve moved my reservation to the Fairfield hotel next door. I was a bit agitated due to the fact I’m on a knee scooter with a broken ankle and there’s no reason they couldn’t have told me when I called, but whatever. I go next door and the lady struggles to find my reservation. She asks my name again and asks if it would be under a different name. I tell her what the lady next door said and after looking again she said “we don’t have a reservation for you from you or anywhere else and we don’t have a single room not occupied”. She called Best Western and told her they don’t have a room for me and that I’d have to go back over there. Husband packs up the truck again and back to Best Western. The lady at the desk apologizes and puts us in a room. AC didn’t work for nothing, but after all the hassle I didn’t even want to be bothered with moving rooms AGAIN. I will never use this hotel again. And if someone is looking during COVID times, I’d caution you to not book with them without verifying twice about their policies.

A bargain and good location
The building was needing some repairs. Our room was fine, but our experience in Isanti was better. The staff was friendly and there was fresh coffee in dinning area. We would probably consider staying again after the pandemic is over.

Bedbugs
I booked this room for my son. When he went to bed he found it visibly full of bugs between the sheets. The staff was very apologetic and moved him to a different room. When he woke up he found bedbugs in his bed. The whole place needs to be fumigated. What a disaster. We are worried he will infect his brothers house when he arrives today!

We were moved to the fairfeild inn dur to plumbing issues which was fine. After that everything was a little bit of a mess. Do not stay for breakfast.
