Trópica Beach Hotel

The hotel was nice and clean. Friendly people. We went for our first year anniversary and they gave us a free champagne. Liz, who work at the front desk was super nice!

Our stay was really great! The location of the hotel is in the middle of a lot of things, super convenient and allows you to hang out how the locals do. Just a 2 minute walk from the beach, the beach isn’t too crowded and had plenty of space to distance yourself. The hotel’s cleanliness and mindfulness was superb, very clean and took precautions. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We arrived hours before check in and they were able to get us in early which was great. The pool and lounge area are super nice and clean as well. We also enjoyed the restaurant downstairs which had great food and service. There is a wonderful local bakery just a walk away that is great for breakfast as well. We also were able to get a late check out by texting the front desk the day of. Overall everything worked out great while we were there. Definitely recommended!

It was an amazing place to stay. Super close to the beach and other restaurants. The restaurant on premise is awesome as well. We even brought our puppy with us.They were just awesome. I will definitely stay there again upon my return.

This has to be the best hotel we’ve stayed in thus far. Everyone is so nice. We had room 214 which was nice and private and the food is great. This hotel deserves 50 stars if we could give it. They truly make you feel at home.

I cannot say enough about this hotel! It is a block away from the beach-so nice! The staff (especially Liz!) was more than accommodating and so nice. They give you the option of texting if you need anything, which is so quick and convenient. They answer the texts very quickly. The cleanliness during the pandemic was very good. While the staff was working on a skeleton crew (understandable) we never had any issues. They told us they were only cleaning the rooms every 3 days but we received notice almost every day that the option was there (we didn't need it but was nice). We went to the beach almost every day and they had chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas for us to use (Loved it!). The umbrellas weren't great but that could also be it was a VERY windy day and I don't think we had the strength to get them far enough in the sand-so that is probably user error. The room was beautiful, the one we stayed in (right off the small pool that we didn't use) had 20 ft ceilings, a walk in closet, and the beds were very comfy. The shower got very hot-loved that. The walls were very thin so when people came back late and drunk, you could hear them. This can easily be solved by some ear plugs though (I didn't find any supplied by the hotel but that doesn't mean they don't supply them-I kept forgetting to look). We were greeted when checking in with a small box of pastries from the shop around the corner which were delish! Local area-not a lot of hotels-mostly locals! Great area to stay in!

Second time I stayed here. It is a clean and new hotel. In a great area full of restaurants and bar in a cool area of SJ Staff is very helpful Highly recommend

The hotel was very clean and newly renovated. The staff was amazing and always available. They made the best of the situation due to COVID. The pool was smaller than expected, but the beach was walking distance.

Great hotel, clean, very central place. I ate at the restaurant by the hotel ( actuallly not owed by the hotel) delicious food and great drinks Highly recommend

Excellent experience !! And Full Pet Friendly !!

The staff were excellent. Their customer service was over the top and I was always greeted with a smile. They were very eager to help and they helped allow my birthday to be a good surprise.
