Wonderful property and service
I booked Hotel Nemzeti to be in the center of things in Budapest at the conclusion of our river cruise. My wife and I were incredibly pleased with the hotel. First, we arrived early around 10am and they were able to put us into our room early. The property is beautiufully restored with lots of character. Our room had 10-12 foot ceiling and was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a trolley stop right outside the front door and you can walk to numerous sites from here also. I will definitely go back to the wonderful Hotel Nemzeti.

The staff tried to be nice, although it would have been better if they could also smile! They behaved as if "they were following orders, or regulations". At some point when the heating of the bathroom was noy working, they tried to explain that the heating is turned-on only at certain times, but then they fixed it. They were polite but without warmth!

Great Hotel, Great Staff and Great Location
Really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The reception staff were great, always smiling. And they recommended restaurants which serve good vegetarian food for my wife. They always helped everytime we asked for anything. The only issue we had was that the room next door to us were drunk and very loud (not the fault of the hotel). We spoke to the reception and they changed our room, although is was a twin room as thats all that was available. But we agreed as we wanted to sleep, and they changed our room and dropped off a bottle of red wine for the inconvenience due to other guests. The Metro is literally on its doorstep and very easy to find.
