Fair 4.0
Very tiny uncomfortable room
The room was very very small and they have no phone in the room to call the reception. For everything one has to go down to the reception. The room was not cleaned after requesting. Very tiny room and was not comfortable at all.

Very clean studio. Lots of amenities etc. However bed very small for a couple but would have been more than adequate for one.

.... it was okay.
Upon arrival reception was great! Arrived to the room and there was two stains on the bed. Spoke to reception about simply changing the duvet as I was exhausted to move. Went to go for a shower and the shower door was broken. Went back to reception where I had to move rooms. I had asked reception that my other half would be arriving later and as I am tired I asked to leave a key along with his name. When he arrived the night staff didn’t even check the system and simply snapped at him saying I had to come down and get him. The stay overall was fine however it started bitter

Poor 2.0
Poorly signposted so taxis had difficulty finding the place. Miniscule room. Had to clamber over the bed to get to the window blind. Even being on the 14th floor with double glazing, the noise of the DLR is very intrusive. Stupid lighting buttons in the room. Microwave located low down and not intuitive to use. Bathroom is a joke... not sure a sliding door between the kitchen area and the toilet would be acceptable to most people? TV only received BBC1 and Sky News, all other channels either blank or so badly scrambled/pixelated as to be unwatchable. Bed uncomfortable. Lift system is style over utility (as are many things in the building... trying to be flash for the sake of being flash. I'm sure it appeals to young techno-geeks staying there, but not to people just wanting to get on in life as fuss-free as possible). Staff not particularly friendly. Seem rather dismissive of anyone who isn't a fellow hipster! If I could rate this as zero stars I would. Grossly overpriced and will ensure that nobody I know has to suffer staying there in the future. Would NOT recommend, not even to people who I despise!

Interesting experience in a great location.
Room was plain with no frills. Nice having a small Kitchenette. Clean, tidy and modern. Couldn’t get tv to work though without showing our tv licence!!!! Annoying. Breakfast was great as was the gym and pool.

Quite good
Very modern and new building. But uncomfortable bed, and room was pretty small. You could also hear the trains nearby. Staff kind and competent, though.

Small room close to transportation
The first room: At first, it looked very clean and orderly. There is a small galley kitchen with two burners, a microwave, and a small fridge. It comes with silverware, plates, and frying pans to allow you to cook if you choose to. There is an iron, but no ironing board in the wardrobe. The iron in the first room I was given did not work. Luckily, the dress I had wasn't that wrinkled. The bathroom is tiny - the shower is maybe 30" x 30"- & it smelled like something died in the drain. I was too tired the first night & hoped it was because the room hadn't been used in a while. I ran the water and the smell did disappear for a bit. The toilet lid was broken off. It also looked like the walls themselves hadn't been cleaned. When I woke up the next morning, I debated about changing rooms because I really hate doing that. However, I did alert reception to the problem later in the afternoon and switched rooms. I'm glad I did because the smell in the original room was even worse than I remembered when I went in. The second room had basic kitchen utensils such as a spatula in it and did not smell like something died. The room had the overall same layout. It's very small; the bed really does pretty much touch both walls and you have to climb over the bed to close the blinds on the window. The hotel is close to transportation. It's convenient to the DLR. I don't think I'll stay here again though.
