Awful Americana Acapulco
This hotel is in very poor condition we visited 15 years ago and it was good but they haven’t repaired anything since.The rooms were very old and didn’t have any amenities or coffee machine they only had one restaurant and this was only half open and the swimming pools were closed the hotel is in a dilapidated state and it’s not like one expects from Fiesta Americana Hotel chain.

Relaxing.
This review is tough to do as we stayed here during the beginning of the virus craziness and the hotel was only at 20%. I will say Gerardo (front desk check in) and Isabel (pool server) were very nice and attentive to our needs. It was nice having the pool area and beach to our selves. At total rarity this time of year in Acapulco. The grounds were very clean and the staff in all areas were very nice and pleasant to be around. We will be coming back to a place that is warm and inviting.

The views from this hotel are amazing. One of the pools is under construction so we missed out on that one. We felt very safe. My son left his baseball cap behind and we recovered it in lost and found. Fresh clean sheets daily were a plus. We enjoyed the bar. My husband and i disliked and felt pressured by their Villa sales associates. Other than that awful experience everything was okay

Check in was a mess. First I check in. Then they wanted me to pay for 2 extra people, even do I call before I arrive at the hotel to informed then about having 2 extra people. The hotel said it was find since I paid for 2 rooms an each room was for 4 people it was 5 of us in the begining. It took up 30 min. To clear it up and it seems the receptionest just went to the back and came back an said it was find this time. Seems to fishy for me. But as far as the hotel it was great by the water and the pool was excellent the rooms where clean with a/c working. Mini fridge for your drinks.

Stayed at this property twice in prior years without issue. This year the pool is being refurbished and no alternate accommodations were made available. The shower was antiquated with no pressure but plenty of cold water.
