I needed a hotel very close to the airport as I had a 13 hour layover between planes. The shuttle service to and from the airport was another reason for choosing this hotel. This hotel was just right for my needs

Essentially a motor hotel
To start with for $250 CDN a night, I expected much more than they provided. The place is near the airport, however you need to call the hotel to get the shuttle after a certain time of day which i didn't know, so I walked to it with my bags. That was fine, however when I got there and gave reception my name, they couldn't find my reservation. It took 15 - 20 minutes and he looked it up through Expedia and eventually found me. It looked like another customer was having a similar issue where they couldn't find their reservation. Once finally found, it took some time to enter it into their system and I get my room key and am told as the hotel is fully booked, I have a room with 2 single beds. I am travelling single, and intentionally booked a queen bed for comfort. I told him that won't do, I guess the breakfast buffet would be free for me then? Amazingly another room was found, even though told there were no more. Funny having these issues due to being fully booked, when I was one of the people by making the reservation made it fully booked. The room he found for me was a room for handicapped. That wasn't the part that bugged me in itself, just that less furniture and crap bed likely due to the category of the room. The bed was a double, not a queen which was what I paid for, however it was 11pm and I was tired waiting in line, and figured i would give my opinion on the room in the review, and let Hotels.com know about my experience.

Perfectly adequate but expensive pre-flight stay
Liked: Impressive check-in service; easy walk from and to terminal (trollies available, as is a bus every 20 mins); McDonalds across road.

Very Uncomfortable Bed and Cramped Room
As I was flying out Monday morning, I wanted to be near the Dublin airport. This hotel is very close. I stayed there 2 years ago and was very satisfied. This time I was alone and the single room they gave me (124) was a minimal as any budget hotel you would find in the US. Small bathroom (OK) but very little space around the sink. But my biggest complaint was the very uncomfortable bed and terrible foam pillows. Did not sleep well. Told the desk clerk and also talked to the manager, John. Sympathetic but made no adjustment to the bill which was 169E. Too much for this bare bones room. The staff at reception were wonderful and could not have been more helpful when I checked in and needed help with solving a problem from a stay at a hotel in Dublin earlier in the week. The food was good as was the wait staff. Overall very disappointed in the room and their response to my complaint.
