The stay was great. I love the city. When I booked this not cheap hotel on hotels.com I paid up front with a gift card and was told I would only have to pay 50.00 at the hotel. Got to the hotels had to pay 100.00 debit card was charged several times.

It was ok
To start with, we are not hotel snobs, and we aren’t people with ridiculous expectations, however when we stay in downtown Boston, at a hotel that you believe to be one of the better ones, you do tend to set your expectations a little higher. Anyway, to start we came in to the fridge not working and a lamp not working. Not at all a problem. Notified the front desk and a maintenance person was there quickly. Maintenance guy was awesome and down to earth, he resolved the issues quickly. We also later found the shower to take 10 minutes to warm up. We even found ourselves not turning it off if the other person was going to get in for fear of losing the hot water, which happened the first time we turned it off. We also had a reservation with the restaurant which I thought was fine dining, however after we had breakfast there the morning of our dinner reservation we cancelled our reservation. The breakfast food was great, service not so good, but the look and feel of the restaurant was more in line with a Denny’s. So didn’t feel like it would be fine dining. Again, not restaurant snobs, we are just as happy eating at a little pub, but when we visit Boston we do like to go out to dinner at least one night, to a fine dining restaurant since it’s not something we do a lot. It was just ok, probably wouldn’t stay there again by choice as there are other hotels down there that we have really liked.

Birthday getaway !
We went to spend a weekend in Boston was my boyfriend birthday we always enjoy the city but more in summer time but this time the weather was ok the hotel was beautiful and very comfortable the only thing the I didn't like it was, The 1st room the guy give us I wasn't happy I went back to the front desk and told them the reasson so the 2nd guy was very nice about it so the second room was beautiful with a little balcony and city view we will return to this hotel close to everything and beautiful.

Would NOT Book Again
We were quite disappointed with our stay. The room did not look like the pictures... we booked a "city view" room, but our tiny window had a view of the hotel roof, complete with pipes and AC units. The bed faced a blank wall and the TV was not in a convenient location to watch. Felt ripped off by the $51/night valet parking and the "resort fee" (which covered internet, shoe shining, and newspaper). This is NOT a resort. To top it off, room service knocked on our door at 8:20am. To be fair, there's a nice sitting area in the lobby with a fireplace and games, the staff was friendly, and Fanieul Hall is one minute away. But we would not come back.
