I was happy with the layout & the cleanliness of the bedroom and living room. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom, including the back of the door being dirty and hair in the tub and on the toilet. The courtyard in the middle of the hotel gets very loud at night. Good luck to anyone sleeping on the couch pullout! We had a toilet that didn’t work well and ended up overflowing at 6 AM. We were told maintenance would be coming at 7 & would come fix it. We left at 9 AM and the toilet still was not looked at. The hot tub was filled in with cement, which was a big disappointment. It was also disappointing that we had to pay $6 a night to park in the hotel parking lot. Fortunately, we were very happy with the continental breakfast. However, sugar packets & stir sticks would be helpful!

The woman on the phone when I called to ask when the manager's reception was did not seem friendly. She was blunt and hung up without a goodbye. The man who checked us in was FABULOUS!!! He had a LONG line and was kind, courteous and efficient. I asked for water later and again, was extremely considerate. Unfortunately, the hotel is getting very old, was leaking water and wasn't the same as it used to be. I hope the owners put some money into fixing it as it is one of my favorite places to stay. Our room was nicely clean and the breakfast staff was friendly and prepared our breakfast just the way I remembered it. YUM!

The room was nice size because we have an adult child who is in a special needs stroller and we could get her through the doors to the bed to lay her down on. A few things that would be nice to have in the room would be plastic ware in case we order out and paper plates. And a note pad with a pen to use. We have used these items at other hotels we have stayed at. Loved the happy hour and that tables were spread out. Breakfast was good. The cable could have been a bit better as we couldn't get a few channels that were part of the line up.

We used this hotel for a weekend family trip. Checking in was a breeze, no issues there. The second night, unfortunately we did not know there was a baseball and hockey traveling league staying at the same time we were, which was frustrating. Parents were downstairs getting drunk and the kids were running through the hotel and going up and down the elevators. I wish the hotel staff would have spoken up about this, as there were other families and couples staying at this hotel as well. We also paid for parking both nights, 6$ day and the second night there were no spots to park because the hotel was so busy, so we ended up parking in the restaurant parking lot across the street. No refund on our parking fee the second night either. Lastly, we requested more towels for our room but because the hotel was so busy all their towels were dirty. As far as our room, the bathroom must not have been cleaned before our stay, there was hair and it was visibly dirty in the tub. We paid for a suite so we could have a pull out couch to sleep myself and my husband. The mattress was terrible, springs, very thin and sunken in the middle. We ended up squeezing 5 people in 2 beds which wasnt ideal but we made it work. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay again.

Disappointing..lobby was nice and updated but rooms were not. Multiple areas where wallpaper was peeling, ceiling paint cracking, devices would not stay plugged in the outlets, broken and stained furniture, dusty, area behind the curtains not vacuumed and window had a thick film. Beds were ok..pillows small for the bed. Breakfast was good, especially the omelet bar. We have stayed at several other Embassy Suites and this one has probably ruined it for the others.

Check-in gentleman was very nice, as was the gentleman who helped us later with market purchases. However VERY unhappy that there was no hot tub, which is the only reason I booked here, otherwise would have booked closer to the mall. The room was great--spacious and clean. Elevators very slow. Breakfast was only ok. Check out gentleman was unfriendly and borderline rude. In the service industry, thats just a big turn off, especially when I was pleasant to him.

Stayed here instead of downtown Minneapolis for an event. Was actually quite crowded with basketball fans. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast included. Elevator issues were the only real problem.

Convenient location, rooms are nicely sized. We were surprised by the paid self parking. There is no need to charge customers for parking for a Bloomington hotel. Breakfast was a great bonus. Deceptive marketing as online booking did not include the additional $20 tax rate per night.
