Terrible
There were six of us in three rooms. One room had mildew and a terrible odor in the bathroom. Staff was not helpful. We asked for a taxi they said 5 minutes, after 20 we went back and it had been canceled and no one told us. The terrace was pretty, but the bar did not have many things on the menu even after a couple days of asking (Bloody Mary mix) and Lemoncello, which is second most popular drink in Italy. The drinks and we did order were terrible and came out one by one. So by time the last person got their drink the others were finished. Also there were groups of teenagers running up and down hall and when told they did not send anyone for a long time. Terrible hotel, the only positive was it was near metro. The closest decent restaurant s we’re more than 1/2 mile away. Also, the towels were like thin dish towels. Not even cotton

good clean rooms, too small shower. good breakfast
The Hotel Porta Maggiore was good in all aspects as we marked. The area it is located it a bit far from the main attractions but probably that the reason for its very good price/performance.

Hotel needs upgrade
The hotel is old and needs some upgrade. We had a leak in our bathroom which meant that the floor was always wet and bathroom was smelly. Shower is just a curtain and is so small it is awkward too shower.
