Housekeeping failure
I checked in after a long drive and it was relatively late. After having dinner in the restaurant and receiving great service, I went to my room and had a shower. By the time I pulled back the sheets to get into bed, it was 12:30am. I noticed there were little hairs all over my pillows and the bed sheets. Like someone (most likely a man by the look of the hairs) had slept in the bed. The sheets didn’t have a fresh smell to them at all. I was way too tired and didn’t want to be an inconvenience in the middle of the night so I didn’t call down for new sheets. Given the COVID-19 situation, I was really grossed out and was seriously concerned with the cleanliness of my room after that. I slept on top of the blankets with a sweater on. Needless to say, it was a terrible sleep and I left the next day feeling pretty disappointed.

Perfect
When you're on a very quick business trip, you don't want to waste time thinking about your accommodation, or dealing with any unpleasantness, whether from people or the condition of the hotel or its rooms. This stay was 100% perfect, from a warm welcome, flexibility requesting a late checkout, dinner in the pub-like-thing, a quiet and comfortable sleep, to a crazy breakfast buffet to start the day right. And for an unbeatable price for such quality. Thanks to this whole team.

Our room was right by the elevator, quite a bit of noise. Parking was not included, no continental breakfast. When checking in the did not ask us a single question or tell us if there was a breakfast or anything about the area. We went there because we were celebrating out 7th anniversary and we had stayed there on our wedding night 7 years ago on March 2, 2013

I was surprised at the restaurant for the entree there was not an side salad or soup to go with the expensive meal. The waiter was not all that attentive to our table at the end for payment. Just a bit disappointed withe price you pay!

As usual the staff at the Chateau once again exceed expectations. The Chateau is my go to place when attending on business in Edmonton.

It is clean, but dated,, drippy faucet in the tub. Parking was not included and cost $25 extra, which I think is pricey. Otherwise the staff was pleasant and friendly.

Sweat lodge
The room was so hot. Ridiculously hot. And there was no way of cooling it down. The room had a fan, but it felt like a sweat lodge. When I told the hotel about it, they admitted that the rooms on higher levels were hot and there was nothing that could be done other than to use a fan.
