The pool had a merky brown/ green color. There were no clean towels at the pool for guest use and water was pooling on the floor. At the terrace, we received undercooked food and not all items had prices. One of the concierge was was joking in a rude way. The pillows and bed were comfortable.

Just ok
Check in was no problem; but didn’t know hotel was under going a major renovation. However my stay was over the holiday so no noise. Breakfast was ok but was disappointed that pork was the only meat option. Room was clean but in need of a serious update. Bed comfort was terrible. That mattress should have been changed ten years ago! Very convenient location and staff was helpful.

Something should be done about this.
We sent a group of people from our church here for one night. This is the best group of people, but they were disgusted with this hotel. It was extremely dirty. The hotel was under construction, but there was no excuse for the things they had to deal with. Plus, there was no construction on the floor they were on. We had a total of six rooms in our group. Here is what they saw: dead bugs ground in the carpet, horrible stains in the carpet, a room door that wouldn’t lock and the latch to keep the door closed would slide off, rooms smelling like someone had smoked drugs, blood stains on sheets, a hair found in the bed, blood smeared on the back of a bathroom door, the AC wouldn’t cool down the rooms, the showers were old and “nasty looking.” Even the pool had a film on the top of the water that made people not want to get in it. The fountain inside the hotel had mold and mildew growing in it. The stay was for one night so they made due because of the late hour. However, the front desk clerk was not friendly at check-in. Our group leader was shocked at how they were treated just checking into the hotel. Then when they went down to the desk to report the one room that wouldn’t lock, the lady was extremely unaccommodating. They were told there were no more rooms and nothing they could do. Finally, they sent the maintenance man to the room to look at the lock. The maintenance man told them they could move to room 314. What happened to there were no rooms? Not good

It worked
The room itself was fine. Pretty much a standard hotel room. The hotel itself is under currently being renovated. This should be addressed before reservations are made. They were nice and let us check in early. A big issue was that all of the vending machines were out of drinks. The hotel restaurant was only open for breakfast. The lounge with food and a bar only had the bar open because they were “short staffed”.

The Good, Bad, and the Ugly
The Good: Very pleasant staff. Jordan in the restaurant and Ruthanna at the front desk were especially great. The breakfast buffet and breakfast menu was GREAT! Really great selection and one of the best omelets I've ever had. Jordan kept up on clearing plates away and keeping our coffee cups filled. Also loved the pillows. Two different sizes and levels of "squishiness" so we were able to get comfortable! Very convenient location. The Bad: The hotel is run down BUT it is currently undergoing renovations, so I could completely overlook stained carpet, signs of wear and tear, etc. as it was obvious it was being repaired. Bed was a little hard, but that is a preference thing, of course. Not so bad that it kept us awake or anything like that. The Ugly: And I hate typing this... The security latch on our door was obviously broken- just dangling there. Ants in our room. Not just a couple; LOTS of ants. Shower leaked. But my biggest problem with the property was, in areas, it was FILTHY. Not, old and stained, but current, unclean, filth, trash, etc. The bathroom by the restaurant looked like an indoor version of a portapotty on the last day of a week-long fair.ALL of the toilet paper rolls were on the floor, trash over flowing, pee on seats, etc. And the hall leading out the back door from that area was in a similar state; trash, food, etc. all over the place. I am not a germaphobe or clean freak, but this was just gross and unacceptable. The staff made it right by me.
