We had a wonderful time being involved in farm life and in an amazing setting. The owners were very welcoming and Hospitable. Our accommodation and was Clean and warm, we just missed having a full kitchen .
If you’re looking to escape the bustling city and enjoy the tranquility of rural life then this is the place for you. Upon arrival Susi offers a warm welcome to the farm with her freshly baked scones with jam and cream for afternoon tea, which makes you feel right at home. White Dog Lane Farmstay is a Beautiful property with breath taking views of lush green paddocks adorned with flocks of sheep. Ducks can be seen waddling across the paddocks and into the pond whilst the little Blue wren birds flit and flutter around the front yard. There’s gorgeous farm animals who eagerly greet you to be patted and fed. My daughter absolutely loved feeding the baby lamb & baby goats their bottle of milk everyday and night. Walking the miniature horses, patting the goats and sheep and playing with the friendly farm dog Lucia. Farmer Brian is so friendly and lovely to chat to about farm life, he was so kind to my daughter inviting her to get a real hands on farm experience which she just relished. It was great having the opportunity to get so up and close with the animals. After a busy day of sight seeing my husband and I enjoyed sitting on the verandah relaxing with a drink whilst watching the wildlife. The peacefulness was rejuvenating only hearing the sounds of birds tweet and the sheep baa. During our stay Susi also baked us strawberry muffins and melting moments which was so lovely to come back and find treats left for us. A homely touch that you don’t experience at hotels. We stayed in the homestead rooms which was very clean and well presented. Comfortable warm bedding and well stocked with supplies. The kitchen facilities are limited to a microwave, toaster, kettle, bar fridge and a Webber Q but that wasn’t an issue for us. I was organised and planned meals we could easily prepare and cook on the bbq. We absolutely loved staying and didn’t want to leave! Thankyou Brian and Susi for welcoming us to your beautiful property and giving us the opportunity to experience farm life. We miss it already and hope to visit again soon! Kathryn
A nice spot to be based for the activities in and around Denmark to Albany
Wonderful farm stay, very friendly and generous hosts. Quiet idyllic outlook, lots of farm animals to interact with. Susi our host brought us freshly cooks cakes and scones which made our stay extra special. So close to Albany and Denmark and the lovely beaches and scenery. We will definitely stay there again, next time we will take some grandchildren.
