Would stay at the Hyatt Regency again.
Staff helpful and friendly, rooms well laid out and great amenities. Roof top bar for drinks excellent. Don't be put off by the taxi access at the lane way behind the building. The building fronts Queen Street Mall so hence the need for rear lane access. Still easy to get to and in the middle of the action. Well worth staying

It was a great Mall location close to shops and the Casino. Everyone was pleasant.

Bias against travellers using hotels.com?
I am a regular business traveller. I use hotels.com because it allows me to accrue free nights at different hotel groups. I will NEVER understand why hotels insist on putting me in the worst room in the property. When I find the right hotel in a city, I will stay there regularly. But you put me in the worst room, so I will never stay there again. Glad it was one night only and I came in late due to meetings. Won't be back. Can't recommend.

Disappointed
Clean, neat and tidy with nice view over river. Staff all very friendly and helpful although wasn't able to park onsite as car was to big, would have been nice to know prior to booking as wouldn't have booked and went to go for afternoon swim and hundreds of people around (pool bar area was booked for a function) this would've been nice to know also

Fav Hotel
This is our fav hotel in Brisbane, we were a little worried about the change over from Next to Hyatt but staff handled it with ease, few little hicups quickly resolved and upgraded. Always stay here, its a great position right in Queens Street, stylish and modern interior.

The staff were very welcoming throughout the hotel. The bathroom was really roomy and a very large shower. It was central to everything we wanted to do.

Very good 8.0
I was impressed with the look and feel of the building; however when I arrived there was no-one at ground reception to check-in with. I was lucky enough to speak to someone else who checked in and told me that main reception was on level 2 and the elevators could still be used without a key pass. Another small whine was the fact that I checked in around 7pm and they still wanted a $45 parking fee. Granted they need to cover parking but I ended up parking on the street like everybody else and we saved that $45. It felt a bit greedy on the hotel's behalf.

Good effort
Front desk check in was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately because of COVID room service and mini bar is unavailable. Therefore I relied on the 4th floor lounge and terrace for in-house food and beverage. Service was slow and basic product knowledge disappointing, for example: bar staff should know their champagne by the glass and how many arancini is in one serving etc. Apart from this staff maintained a positive disposition...
