Great location! Make sure room has working A/C
Got a room with no A/C and when we told the front desk they said it was fixed when we came back after a day of sightseeing but it was not fixed. They did promptly change our room to one with A/C. They should never give guests this room (623 was the room number). Location is fantastic though; close to Trafalgar, Piccadilly, Chinatown and theatre district. The breakfast was worth the price and had a good selection of food.

my biggest criticism is the commode in our bathroom was poorly placed. sitting on it, one faced a wall. at 5'-7', and with size 12 shoes, i had to sit sideways on the commode in order to use it. also, there was only one drawer in the room and it was located under the coffee machine---in other words, not intended to be used for clothing---a big inconvenience during an 11 night stay. otherwise, the breakfast buffet was rather good. the reception desk was on and off again friendly. maid service was good. hotel has an excellent location, which is why we booked it (we use canes). leicester square is one block from the hotel. narrow, one-way street in front of hotel made it difficult for taxis and ubers to pick-up/drop off passengers. only two elevators for guests and hotel staff. good shower. poor reading light. room was cleaned well. poor phone service. no fridge. six hangers in the closet. would stay again.

The property is acceptable but expensive for what you get. The hotel uses surge pricing so we paid a different rate for each of our first three nights, averaging about $500 Cdn per night. Our Standard Twin Room's bathroom was very small and the toilet did not work properly. The only way to get a full flush was to pour a bottle of water into the toilet at the same time as flushing while pressing in the button the whole time. We needed to extend our stay by two nights due to airline changes but had to change rooms to a Deluxe Double Room as our existing room was only available for one more night. We packed up, checked out and the front desk kindly stored our luggage for the day while we went on a bus tour. Arriving back late in the evening, we checked in again and went up to our new room. It was a much superior room with a significantly larger bathroom but upon entering it we found it to be stifling hot. The A/C was offline and we had to call the manager from the nearby Thistle Piccadilly but he could not fix it. As it was impossible to stay in that room, he allowed us to move back into our original vacant Standard Twin Room. He arranged for us to keep that room for our 2 extra nights which we appreciated. On the last day, the front desk wouldn't print off a statement and told me to contact my booking agent for one. At home, I found that I was still charged for the Deluxe Double Room. The hotel claimed the rate was the same on both rooms and wouldn't change it. Very fishy.
