Crystal made my visit miserable
I booked a double bed room with a harbor view. I was given a room that overlooked a brick wall. I returned to the front desk and Crystal told me no other rooms were available even though she had made a room change to the couple in front of me in line. The best room they could offer was a view of the park. I took the room318 and found the room had not been cleaned properly. There was a shower curtain missing and a dirty towel was left on the sink with and over turned soap dish

Charleston Conference.
Great location, great service, and a grand venue, but it's starting to show a little wear and tear.

Elegant Period Style with Modern Conveniences
We loved our stay at this beautiful historic hotel. It was comfortable, the room was pretty, beds were very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Good 6.0
The lobby was beautiful, and being from DC i totally understand that old buildings will always be old. but our shower’s plumbing was almost unusable, and i believe the sink was clogged. we found a few stains on the comforter that we weren’t sure were us or had been there before (it looked like makeup). our view looked out onto a parking garage. definitely wasn’t worth the price, but not too bad of a place. won’t stay again.

Not a four star hotel
This is a 2-3 star hotel and not a four star hotel. It may be quaint and old, but what I wanted was a four star hotel for Valentine's Day. I would rather have paid more for a nicer room. If you are okay with old and a little run down in a good location, than this hotel might be for you. However, I would rather have paid a little extra and stayed at the Dewberry or the Bennett.

Beautiful hotel. Bathroom was a little small but manageable. Single pedestal sink, tub/shower, and toilet with only a couple square feet of flooring. Swamp Fox Restaurant in lobby is fabulous!
