Poor
$180 hotel with the service of a $60motel
The service at this hotel is horrible. I tried to call 3 times before getting through and then I waited on hold for 20 minutes only to give up and book the hotel using hotels.com (which was super easy) I tried to call the front desk in the morning to ask about a complimentary breakfast, it took over 30 minutes to contact the front desk, only for them to tell me they don’t have complimentary breakfast. This is not a cheap hotel to stay in and the size of the rooms as well as the fit and finish just don’t justify the price.

Great with some improvements
Our stay was lovely, due to Covid the Friday/Saturday was crazy in the water park. Even with the regulations there is 65ish people allowed in there, a little crazy but still enjoyed. A review of the parking needs to happen, with a truck or bigger SUV there is no underground parking available and the you are required to walk around the block to get to the hotel entrance. The beds and pillows are amazing!

We arrived an hour and half after check in time - yet when we arrived our room was not ready, and we had to wait. There was dishes in the hallway near the elevator the entire stay. The food was just okay from room service and from the restaurant carvers. (cravers is way over priced food).

Very good
I liked the water slides and I liked that the rooms felt clean.

Initially I thought it was great that we signed up for pool time because of the pandemic. However there is absolutely no regulation on these times. People were staying passed their times and no one cared. What was the point in signing up for time? Then there was only supposed to be max 7 people in the hot tub but there was 12-15. In the pool there was a crazy amount of people as well. Was not safe at all and we couldn’t even use our time. All they needed was to have someone count to make sure rules were being followed but they couldn’t even do that.

Very good
I liked the pool area best . Was not impressed with having to pay for parking or the resteraunt for over charging me than telling me they would take off the items i was over charged for than didnt.

The pool and slide was nice. Rooms were updated and we had adjoining rooms which was nice.

Even though the hotel didn’t seem to be busy, the floor we stayed on was extremely noisy. It seemed as though they moved all the guest to the same floor. When we checked in they had “upgraded” is from a queen to king room but I think it was done so all guest were in the same area. Perhaps they did this to limit Covid cleaning procedures. Doors were slamming all night and early morning. The halls are small and you can hear everything in the hallways so we didn’t sleep well at all.

Location and waterpark do not make up for faults
Hotel is "ok" at best. If not for the waterpark, it would be a standard 2.5 star hotel. Check-in was good. The front desk agent was helpful. It was clear that the room received very little attention from housekeeping. Carpet was dirty and the room had a slight odour. Waterpark was great, the kids loved it and had a great time. We tried to get into the Steakhouse but due to Covid-19, there was not enough space. So we opted for the other restaurant, Scarlet. As we entered Scarlet, the carpet was gigantic mess, there was food everywhere. It looked like the floor of a cheap buffet joint would look, after a couple junior hockey teams finished feasting on a friday night, after the game; horrible. The hostess was nice enough, but the Manager was extremely arrogant and rude. Not sure why she is a manager at all. Service was awful. Our server had no personality at all. She was extemely cold, borderline rude (probably trained by the manager), and extremely slow. Steak was a waste. It was as tough as leather and terribly overcooked. Others said that the Salmon was good and that the burger was ok. From the time we entered the restaurant, we felt like we were a total inconvenience. I have no idea how this place even stays open. Dining there was a nightmare. This place needs a complete training overhaul. If this is your only option, avoid the interaction with the Scarlet staff and just order the salmon or burger to your room. Room - 2 stars Waterpark - 4 stars Restuarant - 0 stars
