Rafaela Hotel Heidelberg

This is a newly built small hotel near a marketplatz in Heidelberg. It is family owned and operated, not part of a big chain. Our stay in July 2019 was really wonderful. The room was clean, well furnished, and was perfect for our family. It had a clever patio door that could be either a door or window. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast they serve is great, it had cereal, muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, an array of meats and cheese and condiments, always a fresh coffee cake, and hot eggs or something similar. Also a great espresso or tea machine. (Note that there is a charge for breakfast, which is worth it because it’s so extensive.) There are several restaurants and cafes nearby, and it’s a block from a main tram line, so it’s easy to get around the city without a car. We went to the castle and other tourist spots easily. An added bonus is that there is a farmers market in the marketplatz Wednesday and Saturday, with all sorts of fruit, cheeses, breads, or sausages you can buy. And a small frig in your room to hold what you buy. The owner is so friendly and helpful, and was extra accommodating meeting some of our specific needs. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a small owner operated hotel that has been in operation since November 2018. Overall it's well run and well situated (a bid off the tourist track across the river from Old Town Heidelberg but still walking distance). I would have given a higher rating if not for three issues: the rooms were very small (for example, there was no space to put an open suitcase and no armchair); the mattress was way too soft for me; the AC worked only if the room key was plugged in, implying that my room was rather hot after returning from may days out.

Nice place in good location: close to old town but off the beaten path.

Es war alles super im Rafaela Hotel. Es ist noch ziemlich neu und sehr sauber mit praktischen Details bei der Inneneinrichtung. Der Service/Beratung war auch super.

Super schönes, ruhiges, modernes und sauberes Hotel, ideal gelegen an einem schönen Marktplatz, Restsurants, Cafés gleich daneben und nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zum Neckar und zur Innenstadt. Erholung pur, mitten in der City! Immer wieder gern!

Wir haben 3 schöne Tage in Heidelberg verbracht. Die Leute vom Hotel waren sehr nett und aufmerksam. Sehr Empfehlenswert

Hotel ist sehr neu (Ende 2018 eröffnet). Der Zustand ist daher super. Frühstück finde ich etwas teuer (14€ p.P) dafür gibt es aber auch Drumherum sehr viele Alternativen. Zimmer sehr modern, jedoch einen klein wenig zu klein. Bei 2 Personen wäre schon kein Platz einen 2. Koffer auszubreiten. Für mich alleine hat es aber ausgereicht.

Hotel super novo, moderno, limpíssimo. O dono, Tobias, é uma simpatia. O quarto não é grande e o banheiro é enorme. Há varios cafés deliciosos pertinho . Não fica na cidade velha, fica do outro lado do rio mas tudo é muito perto na cidade. Quando voltar a Heidelberg certamente ficarei no hotel Rafaela novamente.
