I liked that the staff were so nice about checking in, and that everything appeared very clean. However, the photos advertise something very different from what I experienced. There were no windows in my room to let in the sunlight. It was very humid even with the portable air conditioner on it's lowest setting. And I was offered a room without very much space. The remotes to the TV both didn't have batteries so I had to purchase my own batteries in order to utilize it. Overall, it was an OK experience for a small bed and breakfast out in Wahiawa.

A different kind of inexpensive stay on Oahu

this is a very interesting place. Make sure you read the check-in procedures! A basic 10x10 room with a comfortable double bed, a small sink, small refer. and a tv with Way to many viewing options, the toilet and shower were outside the room shared by 1 other room. There was a small fully equipped kitchen in the middle of the property, there is a Continental Breakfast, I had to leave before I even saw it, it starts at 8am, the pictures look good. I didn't like how noisy the neighborhood was, there were only shades over the windows no sound dampening so at times it got a little loud. My wife thought is kind of cool I thought it was kind of annoying, I would consider staying there again

Liked : Centrally located in Wahiawa, shared kitchen can be used anytime, for coffee/microwave etc. free continental breakfast on your own until noon... Early check-in when the room is available already. (normally at 15:00) . Free spacious parking lot. mini fridge and mini basin in the room. My room had a lot of windows so it got a lot of lights. Key codes to enter the room, so that I don't have to worry about bringing around the key. Not liked : nothing!

This is primarily an Air B&B, located in a typical working class neighborhood right in the center of Oahu. I prefer it over the strip in Waikiki. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Place was clean and housekeepers were working bright and early. So was the Rooster on the property. All and all a pretty good place to crash once you find it.

The property is not a nice place to stay. Not for families and certainly not for solo female travelers. It is located in a sketchy neighborhood. It is a house that has been converted into rooms for rent. There was NO ONE at the property when I arrived. I could only communicate with a "desk clerk" via text message. I called and she didn't answer until the 4th call even though I had texted that I could not find the property. I missed the location because the sign, "Aloha Wahiawa," is tiny. Barely the size of a skim or short surf board. The room was inside a dark hallway, with out any outside windows. The only window was near the ceiling, wouldn't lock and was facing an interior, dark hallway. There was no way in interior of the tiny room to bolt or safety lock on the inside. The only security was two small cameras and upon close inspection, they weren't even connected. I cancelled through Expedia. The owner charged me the full amount for the night, even though I hadn't spent 5 minutes on the property and told him that it was not a hotel but a hostel type stay and that his advertisement was false advertisement. Two days later the cyber "desk clerk" called and asked me how everything was. She didn't even know I wasn't there and had cancelled !! I do not recommend this place and recommend that Expedia check into this location.

I had high-hopes for this stay. The property sounds very nice from the description and photos. The owner was nice on the phone and brought me an iron and ironing board that I needed the night of check-in. The place was very clean and I didn't have any trouble with bugs. The living room and bedroom were both very warm, bordering on hot. The bedroom had a free-standing A/C unit to cool it down, but it was VERY noisy and didn't quite keep things cool. There is a full kitchen, which is nice if you wanted to cook yourself a meal. However, there is no television in the living area if you wanted to relax and watch TV in a larger room. The bedroom does not have a night-stand or a desk. The only place to hold your items is a set of wire shelves. I needed to do some work in the evenings, and I couldn't do that in the room. I had to work at the kitchen table in the living area which was very warm with no A/C. The bathroom has no outlet for razors or a hair-dryer. Be prepared for dirt bikes and souped-up cars zipping noisily up and down the street. Also, you WILL be woken up at about 6am EVERY morning by chicks peeping under your window and roosters crowing. This might be an OK place for someone who is looking for a room for a vacation to sleep in. If you are on a working trip, like myself, this is not an ideal location. The house is in a fairly run-down area of town, which is certainly not evident from the pictures.
