Do not stay at the Ethno House under any circumstances! I booked a three night stay with my family in June 2022. When we arrived, our room was not available and my family had to split between two rooms--not too big of a deal. However, none the four jacuzzis in the two separate rooms worked...there was no hot water. Despite management saying that they fixed the problem over and over, they never did. Even this would have been OK if we could have used the pool. Unfortunately, the pool was empty and we were told they were turning it into a hot tub. The gym was closed too, and all of the other amenities/activities were barely operational. The rooms were actually decent, but the rest of the place was so run down that we ended up leaving a day early. Management said they would work out a fair deal on the price, but then refused to do so. Once I was home in the US, they did admit all of the problems, but only offered by a $500 non-transferrable voucher that had to be used within one year. I can't go back to Croatia within one year, and even if I could I wouldn't stay at this place! The only thing this place has going for it is the location to the park. Do not expect anything near 5 star accommodations or service, do not trust their website to be accurate with regard to the pool or other amenities, and do not trust management to be honest or reasonable.

Great stay! Basically in the national park by less used entrance. Excellent service, nice restaurant. Loaded with things to do for adults and kids: zoo, swimming pool, hot tub, archery, and more.

This place is so close to the lakes! No driving needed. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with the hotel because of the before us in our room. They destroyed the hot tub which was unusable and no discount received. I won’t be back unless they make it right.

The property was extremely close to the park entrance which was great. However, it is extremely rustic. There is a farm on the grounds. The food wasn’t great. The breakfast buffet in the am was very disappointing. It was way overpriced esp. for the conditions.

Ethnos Deluxe
We were excited to stay at this hotel because of the private hot tub and fireplace in the room...only to find out upon arrival that the hot tub couldn't be used because it was winter and our "upgraded" room had no fireplace. I wish it would have been advertised online that the hot tub couldn't be used because of the cold. We wouldn't have spent extra and booked this hotel if we had known. The price isn't worth it to stay in the winter. I'm sure it's better in the summer months.
