Second time I have stayed at Chantry House. Once again, a lovely stay. Very comfortable sized room. Always very clean and has a homely feel. Breakfast selection is excellent as is the breakfast itself. Highly recommended.

Best most comfortable hotel in central Bury

This is my go to hotel for staying in Bury St Edmunds. The rooms are always excellent and individual, clean and well stocked with coffee etc. the beds are amazingly comfortable. The freshly cooked breakfast is great, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Free off road parking is a great bonus and the hotel is a few minutes from the centre of the historic centre and the cathedral and abbey gardens. Can’t recommend this place enough!

I arrived at the Chantry Hotel just after midday. The proprietor was happy for me to check-in straight away. He was also happy for me to leave my car there for a couple of hours after I’d checked out the following morning. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was first class. My room was on the second floor - the second set of stairs was a little narrow but fortunately I didn’t have much luggage for my overnight stay so it wasn’t a problem for me. I would definitely stay here again.

Second time I've been to the Chantry. Rooms have a cosy, homely feel and bed very comfortable. Everything you need available in the room. Check in and out is easy. Breakfast has many options and is all excellent quality. Premium feel.
