8/10 Very good

It was fine. It was easy after check in…staff could maybe be a little more ‘aware’ or ‘sympathetic’ but this is minor.

Classic backpacker but actually quite quiet. Double room clean and comfy, bathroom good, interesting building features add to the cool factor. Surprisingly welcoming for a couple of "oldies"

Central location reasonably priced.

Central location close to transport from the airport and the venue I was attending. A good budget option with all the facilities I needed.

Not flash but perfectly fine if you just need a place to crash and explore the city. Perfect location at end of Cuba Street. Room was spacious.

Barbara J, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Some wear and tear on the room facilities but great location. I had a room myself with ensuite so worked well for my needs
Karina, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The receptionists were super friendly! The kitchen was being painted, so they had pots on a table, and I was surprised to see the fridge so full of bags considering there weren’t that many guests. They should organize the kitchen better. As for the room, I can’t complain — there were four of us with a private bathroom, and the mattress was very comfortable. The location is right in the city center. I liked it!
karen, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The hostel was wonderful. Clean, friendly, and the beds were super comfortable. There is considerable construction happening in the neighborhood so drove around for almost an hour to find parking and an entrance, used an affordable parking garage just behind.
Katie, 1-night trip

Great hostel for sleeping

One night stopover travelling on a motorcycle tour. Big high ceilings in a converted historical building made for a comfortable shared dorm
Martin, 1-night trip

Adam, 7-night trip

Good stay

Prime location = shops, transport and cafes. No microwave. Friendly helpful reception staff.
Alan, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The staff at the hostel were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more pleasant. However, the hostel itself was very worn down and in need of serious maintenance. The facilities felt outdated, and some areas seemed a bit neglected. While the hospitality was great, the overall condition of the hostel could definitely use some improvements.
Jesper, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Had a private room and it felt like a basic hotel, clean and comfortable. A good deal when split with another person. Nice and quiet. Be aware that this is a dry hostel even in private rooms. The quiet hours are generally well-observed.
Miriam, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Reasonable

Room and bed comfortable but small with nowhere to put your things. Shower curtain was not wide or deep enough so water went all over the floor. Shower nice and hot. Kitchen a little chaotic in the evening with other guests not clearing up after them.
Anne, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Not clean.Noise from morning.
Askin, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

The room itself was spacious and bathroom was clean. However it was so so so loud there the whole time I stayed all I could hear were doors slamming, construction, and even building work right outside my door during the day! Staff were nice but found the check in experience awkward. Also had to ask three times if my overflowing bins could be changed. Great location but would only stay again if the loud slamming doors were fixed / updated and if I could guarantee a peaceful sleep!!
Lucy, 6-night trip

8/10 Very good

Stayed in a single occupancy ensuite room. This was decent sized. The windows didn’t close properly nor were able to reduce lots of noise outside from courtyard music and talking along with air conditioning noise and external noise. Heater didn’t work. Noise in other parts of the building were much worse due to construction work on the street. The fridges were so full I didn’t bother trying to use them. It is a dry hostel which is great with no smoking or vaping but this is soon known not to be true with people smoking on the doorstep and in the courtyard with ash trays provided by the hostel - so cap re that. The bathroom had mould, linens not great but you get what you pay for noting it’s in a really great spot with all amenities, buses, cbd, supermarket all nearby
