Southbank Promenade Hotels

Water taxis bob along the Yarra River taking visitors to bustling Southbank Promenade where children shriek with delight at the indoor amusement park and couples linger over a sunset tipple at a riverside eatery. Once a neglected industrial area, Southbank Promenade has been transformed into the cultural hub of Melbourne, a lively port for lovers of art, music, and excellent food and wine.

Things to see

More than just a shopping district, Southbank Promenade is a gateway to some of Melbourne's most delightful entertainments. Hop on board a river cruise boat and settle in with a cup of coffee as the captain regales you with wild tales of Melbourne and the Yarra as you motor past the city, or cross the Pedestrian Bridge, clamber down some steps, and land on Ponyfish Island for lunch. Test your tolerance of heights at the breath taking Eureka Skydeck 88, where guests enter a glass cube that slides out from the 88th floor giving knee-trembling views of Melbourne and the Dandenong ranges.
