"Whilst these rooms are effectively student accommodation and (in my case at least) the bathroom is shared by two rooms, they are excellently appointed and comfortable. They have good internet, parking, a great buffet breakfast, charming grounds, perfect for a day or two. Really helpful staff and all very clean and modern - they even have kitchen facilities. "

"We spent 3 excellent nights at the Afton Safari Lodge. We had a large room with a sitting area, small refrigerator, and large bathroom. The bed and room were very comfortable and nicely decorated. But what really made our stay was the owners, Tony and Marieka. From the time we arrived, they made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and good. "This place was terrible. To start, they tried to make me pay again when I already paid online. I had to speak to the owner on the phone who lied to me about it and was extremely rude. I booked two private rooms and they tried to make me share a room with another guest. I refused because I paid more to have my own room. They do not provide wifi like is advertised and when I pressed the owner, he gave me one coupon for 100mb internet for two rooms (4 people). I told him it was advertised online as...

"Loved our room and the entire hotel. I believe there were only 2 other guest rooms occupied when we were there in late March 2026. Breakfast was delightful and Rizea was particularly nice to pack us a to go breakfast when we needed to leave early in the morning on our first day there. Loved the glassed enclosure and the beautiful indoor gardens. We’d definitely stay there again! "
