Find out more about Ladies' Market

Ladies Market Hotels

It’s handbags at dawn at the biggest, brashest fashion market in Hong Kong, so sharpen your elbows and prepare your haggling skills in preparation for bagging a bargain. This kilometre-long stretch of Mong Kok, Hong Kong’s district of hustle and bustle is rammed with every fashion item and accessory imaginable – it’s one for magpies for sure, with shiny baubles on every corner. This is just the start of the Mong Kok shopping experience, and a great place to warm up.

Things to see

The Ladies Market is a microcosm of Mong Kok district – overwhelming at first, with pressing crowds, loud, fierce haggling, and louder, fiercer advertising signs screaming their deals, but once you get into the rhythm of it, the fun of Mong Kok, and of the Ladies Market in particular becomes pretty addictive. Crowds of girls squeal over the latest trinkets and sparkly things, while tourists try to navigate the narrow alleys between piles of clothes in one piece. If female-focused shopping sounds like your idea of hell, then escape into the nearby Mong Kok Computer Centre, a huge mall selling nothing but computers and other electrical items. It’s a gadget geek’s heaven, a world away from the fashion parade outside. For a break from shopping, check out the Tung Wah Museum, a richly ornate museum of health and oriental medicine. The great hall is adorned with Chinese calligraphy on gold pillars.
