Where to stay in Kuala Lumpur

Petronas Twin Towers Hotels

Standing at a height of 1,483 feet, the Petronas Twin Towers are perhaps Kuala Lumpur’s most recognisable landmark. The gleaming postmodern-style structures boast 88 floors and are linked midway up by the 58 metre-long Sky Bridge which is open to visitors and offers some pretty spectacular views of the city. Today Tower One is occupied by oil company Petronas, whilst Tower Two is home to a who’s who of multinational companies. Whilst the towers lost their title as the world’s tallest buildings back in 2004, they still hold the title as the world’s tallest twin towers today.

Things to see

Moments from the towers you’ll find the green and leafy KLCC Park. Spanning 20 hectares of lush landscaped grounds, the peaceful parcel features a jogging track, a playground, and a manmade lake adorned with trickling fountains. Close by, Aquaria KLCC houses over 250 different species of marine life from Malaysia and around the world. Focusing on habitats that range from rivers and mangroves, to coral reefs and the deep ocean, visitors will sea everything from vibrant tropical fish to sinister-looking sharks. The aquarium’s highlight is a 300-foot underwater tunnel, where guests can stroll whilst admiring the sea life as it glides overhead. Kuala Lumpur offers a paradise for shopaholics, and one of its most popular malls is Suria KLCC. Also situated close to the Petronas Twin Towers, the glossy 6-story shopping centre boasts over 320 shops, offering a healthy mix of big brand fashion and luxury designer labels.
