Nusa Dua Vacation

Nusa Dua Hotels

There's nothing budget about Nusa Dua, an exclusive area that caters to those who want all the beauties of a tropical isle without any of the stresses. Known for its manicured gardens, white sand beach and broad boulevards, Nusa Dua is a place for leisurely strolls, high-end shopping, and exquisitely prepared meals overlooking a glittering sea. There's no chance to be bored as you explore the treasures of the ocean on a diving trek or shop the Bali Collection to the accompaniment of live music. Amidst the glitz and glamour, you can still experience local culture through the Devdan Show: Treasure of the Archipelago, a visual spectacle that uses dance, acrobatics, and music to lead viewers on a vivid journey through the history and culture Bali and surrounding islands.

Things to see

Stroll down Nusa Dua's bleach-blonde beach and check out the breathtaking Blow Hole, before sprawling out on a lounger and soaking up the sun. Take a break from the sunshine and head to the Museum PASIFIKA for an excellent introduction to Asian Pacific art. With over 600 items in the collection, you'll see a stunning array of sculptures, masks, and paintings. Take a day trip to the Turtle Conservation and Education Centre on nearby Serangan Island. You can adopt a turtle which will be nurtured before being released into the wild. Explore another island with a 90 minute cruise to Lembongan where you can embrace your adventurous side with a full day kayaking, snorkelling, and exploring the treasures of the ocean through a glass bottom boat.

Hotels in Nusa Dua

Hotels in Nusa Dua are showcases for luxury and opulence, most in the 4-5 star range. You will find an assortment of ritzy beachfront resorts with stunning ocean views, full service spas, and private villas. Swimming pools are a given, and many of the Nusa Dua hotels offer the indulgence of private pools. Beach umbrellas provide shade and privacy at the beach, and no self-respecting Nusa Dua hotel would go without several restaurants, a health club, and elegant terraces where guests can relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings. Expect immaculately manicured gardens and attentive staff to boot.

Where to stay

Hotels in Nusa Dua are designed for privacy, luxury, and exclusivity. Look for 4.5-5 star hotels on Kawasan Wisata and Kawasan Pariwisata. You'll be within walking distance of the excellent shopping at Bali Collection, and have easy access to taxis to take you off site for lower cost eating and museums. You will find 3.5 star accommodation on nearby Pratama Street and Jalan Pintas Siligita. While not as posh as their flashy neighbours, these hotels are still comfortable with beautiful gardens, outdoor swimming pools, and free use of bicycles to take you to late night hot spots in nearby Kuta Beach.

How to get to Nusa Dua

International guests arriving at Nusa Dua often do so via Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport. Only a short 15 minute drive from the airport, Nusa Dua can be easily reached via shuttle or taxi or the public mini-buses known as bemos. Check with your hotel to see if they provide an airport shuttle since many of them do as part of your accommodation cost, or pick up a rental car at the airport for easy transportation for the remainder of your trip.
