Eaton Hotels

The little pretty city of Eaton sits amongst the rolling greenery of Preble County, Ohio. Paved with heritage and driven by its community, here it’s all about markets, family, and good simple living. The lively city plays host to many events, from the Annual DEI Car Show to the Preble County Pork Festival, whilst the spirited downtown district is home to a gentle buzz all year round. Quaint shops and restaurants stud several streets, whilst further afield you’ll find golf courses and tranquil park land.

Things to see

Just a few minutes south of the city you’ll find the historic Roberts Covered Bridge. One of only 6 left in the United States today, the rustic wooden structure features a dual wagon-way. Every Saturday morning Eaton’s open air Farmers Market wakes up and begins its bustle. A staple of the community, the market offers a cornucopia of local produce and delicious homemade treats. Here you’ll find everything from organic fruit and vegetables and fresh baked goods, to handmade crafts and trinkets. Fort St. Clair is the city’s sprawling leafy park and the historic site of a garrison fort built during the 1790’s. Nowadays only remnants of the fort remains, and the idyllic park is more of a picnicking territory. You will however find a museum on the site, along with the Whispering Oak Tree, which, according to local legend, will whisper to you if it’s in the mood.
