"Hidden gem in knez mihailova. If you are looking for a trip to experience the best of Belgrade- look no further. We were greeted by lovely young ladies after taking a driver from the airport. They welcomed us warmly and made us feel like we come ask them anything! We are right next to a currency exchange which you will need to do for dinars. When buying anything at Kalemegdan Park from vendors, you will need it. Great prices on souvenirs. I was in Belgrade in 1989 & haven’t been back. I was nervous because I came with m husband now and only knew a small amount of Serbian. It was just fine! We went to Divine Liturgy on Sunday at St Sava where I sang with my church family & choir all those years ago. Goosebumps. Everyone knows English. It is nice to know some Serbian phrases as it shows respect for the Serbian people. Our superior apt was our reprieve for naps & our little kitchen to rejuvenate for our adventures to Skadalija. Go to the bakeries. Any of them. The staff will call and make reservations for you anywhere. Americans must relax! Any meal is hours & you need to enjoy the experience. It is worth it. Go to maxi for supplies (just like Aldi but better & busier). You can pay by card in many places as well. Thank you especially to milica & marija. Zivela Srbija! Do sledeceg puta. ❤️🤗🌹"
"Location is fantastic. Right at Republic Square and the main pedestrian street with many shops and a market nearby. Public transportation is all right there as well. The elevator is very small and slow but there is one and it is functional. I would definitely stay here again during my next visit to Belgrade"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Serbia
Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly times to visit Serbia are in February, August, and November, when hotel prices are typically lower. To fully appreciate the country's key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural offerings, a stay of at least 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to explore a variety of attractions, including ancient castles, museums, and stunning natural landscapes, ensuring great value for money on your trip.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: In Serbia, travellers may discover savings by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where discounted hotel options are available. For those planning a spontaneous trip, the Last-Minute Deals area could be useful to find hotels near the travel date with potential markdowns. Furthermore, by utilising the Smart Shopping tool via the app, you’re more likely to see a comparison of hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you stay informed about any flash sales or special promotions.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal for your stay in a Serbian hotel. If you're seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, assisting you in your search for a more favourable rate.
Consider your location: Staying in the heart of major Serbian cities provides unmatched convenience, yet it tends to come with a heftier price tag. Accommodations in the centre close to local attractions often command higher rates, while those in smaller towns or rural locales are more likely to be affordable. For travellers seeking better value, opting for hotels a little further afield might be a wise choice, although it may necessitate additional travel to key points of interest. Alternatively, exploring nearby cities can also uncover a wealth of attractions alongside more budget-friendly options.
