"great location, better service expected though"

My friend and I stayed in the hotel for close to 2 weeks for christmas and new year. Excellent location for the countdown, times square, broadway, subways. There are restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy around. However, I do have mixed feelings about the hotel service. It was great to have 24 hour hot water, coffee and tea available. The housekeeping staff has great service - we come back to a clean, comfortable room daily. We returned to the room in the afternoon for a rest and the housekeeping staff came with extra towels. I was disappointed with the staff at the front desk and conceige. I would expect better service than the one provided to me being the face of the hotel to customers. One of the incidents at the front desk: Our keycard was faulty and had to make a change. My friend told the lady our room number. I reckon she could reconfirm our room number than to say that we had provided a wrong room number (which I was sure we did not).

Great location and great amenities provided by the hotel made up for the small room in Yotel. Upon checking in, one of the staff Emmanuel assisted us and he was super friendly and helpful. On each level there were coffee, tea, hot chocolate, microwave, fridge, and a water and ice dispenser. Muffins provided each morning is really yummy and there was a tray in the room that allows us to bring it down to collect our breakfast in the morning. Bathroom wise, there was a curtain between the shower and bed area so it was not so uncomfortable when I was staying with a friend. but the shower cubicle is really small and there was no door between the shower and toilet bowl so it can get quite messy. Overall stay was great.

I was excited to stay at the Eventi and true enough they did not let me down. My room had an awesome city view and I had a whole bottle of champange and cupcakes in my room waiting for me! My partner and I are highly satisfied with this hotel. The beds are very comfortable and the wifi was good too!
I would definately be back at the Eventi when I visit the New York City again. Awesome!
